where do I write my answers?

I've enrolled in a technology class and somehow landed here since I can't seem to post my comments where I'm supposed to ("awwww").  I've read the "extra credit" article and the video, "Shift Happens".  I'd really like to have a classroom/community like the ideal situation described in the article.  If learning technology is all it takes to inspire such passionate interaction, I'm very hopeful.  I have a feeling, "creativity" and planning are really the equation though, with technology being another tool.  The situation seems both left and right brain functioning, which I believe I can handle, with some practice and learning the vocabulary!  I smiled to see the definitions at the end of the article!  I believe some of the discouragement of teachers to embrace technology in the classroom is the vocabulary!  Imagine being a reader, expected to understand and write about an article that contains a multitude of terms you don't know and can't find in a dictionary.  I think it's similar to the way students give up on problems or reading...not just laziness, but shutting down due to: too much, too fast; feeling too "dumb"; feeling overwhelmed.  I'm also wondering if the kids receiving the computers are receiving training too.  I've got lots to learn, but I did this, so you never know!
